How to randomize a list
- Paste your list with one item on each line. Blank lines are ignored and spaces at the beginning and end of each line are trimmed.
- Turn on Remove duplicates if each distinct line should appear only once. Leave it off to keep repeated entries.
- Click Shuffle list, then Copy latest order. Shuffle again when you need another order.
Example: set a presentation order
Paste the names of six speakers and shuffle once. The numbered output gives the first through sixth speaking slots; it keeps everyone in the list rather than choosing just one winner. You can paste the copied result into your meeting notes or classroom schedule.
Shuffle everyone or pick one person?

Can I shuffle names from Excel or Google Sheets?
Yes. Copy one column of names and paste it into the input. Each non-empty line becomes a separate entry. Check that a column heading has not been included as a person.
How are duplicate lines handled?
Remove duplicates keeps the first instance of each exact line. Matching is case-sensitive: Alex and alex are different entries. With the option off, repeated lines remain in the output.
What does Avoid identical neighbors change?
It rearranges repeated entries so identical values are separated when possible. Some lists cannot be separated, such as four copies of A and one B. This setting restricts the possible orders; leave it off when you want an unrestricted shuffle.
Can shuffling produce the same order twice?
Yes. A new random shuffle can match an earlier result or leave an item in its original position. A random order does not require every item to move.
Is my list uploaded?
