Spacebar Burst Speed Test
The burst speed test measures your maximum CPS (clicks per second) in one short streak. Start pressing the spacebar as fast as you can - the test tracks your speed in a sliding 1-second window and records the highest CPS you reach before you stop.
This is ideal if you want a quick click speed check, a CPS burst test for gaming, or just a fun way to see how hard you can spam the spacebar or mouse.
First tap/space starts the burst. Stopping for ~1000 ms ends it automatically.

Burst Speed Test FAQ
What is a good peak CPS?
Peak CPS in a short burst is usually higher than your normal CPS over a longer test. Very roughly:
- 6-8 CPS: normal burst for casual users
- 8-12 CPS: strong burst, above average
- 12-16 CPS: very strong burst, common among fast clickers
- 16+ CPS: extremely high burst and hard to repeat consistently
If you only reach a high number for a few taps and then drop off, that means your peak speed is good but your stamina or control might need work. As always, use these ranges as a guide only and focus on beating your own best bursts on the same device.
These ranges are approximate and meant only as rough guidelines.
What is the burst speed test?
It is a click speed test focused on your fastest burst. Instead of using a fixed duration, it starts on your first press and keeps updating CPS every moment, recording the highest CPS you reach during that burst.
How do I use it?
Press the spacebar or tap the main button to start. Keep pressing as fast as you can. If you stop pressing for about a second, the burst ends automatically and your results are shown. If you want to cancel mid-run and restart, hit Reset.
How should I read the results?
You will see the total number of presses, the duration of the burst and your max CPS. The "Recent burst results" list keeps your latest bursts in this session so you can compare different attempts and see which one had the highest peak CPS.
Can I use this for gaming CPS warm-ups?
Yes. Many players use this burst mode as a quick warm-up or to test how fast they can spam keys before jumping into FPS, clicker games or other fast-click titles. It is also a simple way to see if your keyboard or mouse keeps up under heavy clicking.
Does it work with the mouse and on mobile?
Yes. You can click the tap area with your mouse or tap it on a touch screen. The timing logic is the same as for the spacebar, so it works as a mouse CPS burst test or a mobile click speed test as well.
How accurate is the timing?
Burst timing and CPS are based on millisecond timestamps in your browser. That is accurate enough to compare bursts on the same device and get a feel for your maximum CPS. System load, browser and hardware can affect fine details, so treat it as a practical, not lab-grade, measurement.
Is this tool free, safe, and local?
Yes. This tool is completely free and runs entirely in your browser. No account or installation is required, and your results are never sent to any server. All data stays on your device and is cleared when you refresh or close the page.
